“At MU, we have chosen to shape our destiny through a strategic planning process that incorporates careful, long-range budget planning and enrollment management,” MU Chancellor Brady Deaton said. “We are two universities in one – Missouri’s land-grant university and its premier public research university.  Therefore, we have two sets of obligations: to provide access to qualified students who wish to experience the type of education offered by a great flagship university and to provide the highest quality education possible from a leading AAU research university. We are interested in attracting the highest ability students as well as any students who qualify for admission and truly want to succeed.”

“The focus of this new scholarship plan is to continue to attract high-ability students to our great university,” said Ann Korschgen, vice provost for enrollment management. “We hope that this new scholarship package will demonstrate our commitment to helping those who have shown great potential in high school and who are committed to attending MU for a quality education that will enable them to succeed in our global economy.”
