Media Advisory: Relationship between Inequality and Education in America to be the Topic of Distinguished Visiting Professor’s Lecture

WHAT:           Greg J. Duncan, professor of education at the University of California Irvine, will give a  lecture on his latest book “Restoring Opportunity: The Crisis of Inequality and the Challenge for American Education” as a part of the Chancellor’s Distinguished Visitors Program.

Duncan will be addressing education initiatives in Boston, Chicago and New York City that are transforming the lives of low-income children from pre-kindergarten through high school. Duncan has published extensively on issues such as income distribution, child poverty and welfare dependence.
